Bulgaria's athletes won a total of 12 medals at the 22nd ITF Taekwon‑Do World Championships in Astana. They snagged three gold, three silver, and six bronze medals, Bulgarian Taekwon-do ITF Secretary General Vergiliy Sitnilski told BTA on Saturday.

The gold medals went to Kiril Iliev (sparring, 52 kg), Rami Shau (sparring, 78 kg), and the men's team (special technique discipline).

The silver medals went to Deni Velev (sparring, 92 kg), Anton Ogorelkov (sparring, 58 kg), and Yordan Staev (men's strength test).

The bronze medals went to Liliya Mitreva and Ivet Vassileva (sparring, 62 kg), Nikolay Petkov (men's sparring), Lyubomir Drakaliyski (junior's sparring), the Bulgarian national team (women's self-defence), and the national women's team (strength test).
