Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski said Bulgaria and its people should come to North Macedonia's aid after the nightclub tragedy that occured in the country, the parliamentary group's press centre said on Sunday. 

At least 50 people have died in a nightclub fire in North Macedonia, the Media Information Agency (MIA) reported, citing the country's Interior Ministry. The blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday in Kocani, a town around 100 km east of the capital, Skopje. Some 1,500 people were said to have been attending a concert. According to local media reports, the fire may have been caused by the use of pyrotechnic devices, MIA added.

"The huge tragedy that claimed dozens of lives in the nightclub fire in Kocani, North Macedonia has shaken our common home - the Balkans. I express my sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the young people who lost their lives and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and wounded," Peevski said.
