Albert Hadjiganev is returning to Bulgaria to exhibit his woks at Astry Gallery and the Boris Christoff Museum. The exhibition can be viewed at both venues from March 25 to 29, with the gallery continuing to display the works until April 17, the organizers have said.

The exhibition is broadly divided into two series. The first one, titled "My Home", features six paintings of interiors from the artist's home and studio in Normandy. The other, "November Roses", presents a corner of his garden, which is strikingly reminiscent of an old Bulgarian yard.

Astry Gallery’s Vihra Pesheva said that the second series features landscapes, many of which were painted in recent years. Some of them were presented in Normandy in 2024, others will be displayed in Sofia for the first time. There are paintings depicting scenes from Spain and Brittany, with Pesheva describing them as evoking "a sense of intimacy and mystery, inviting us to reach out and discover something hidden."

Albert Hadjiganev was born in 1954 in Sevlievo (northcentral Bulgaria) into a family of artists. Following two failed attempts to gain admission to the Academy of Art, he moved to France in 1982. From 1982 to 1989, he worked in Remy Aron’s studio in Paris. He graduated from the Higher National School of Fine Arts. He was honoured by Institut Français in 1989 and Monaco’s government in 1991.
