The amount of the average contributory income in Bulgaria in July 2024 is BGN 1,637.15, the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) said.

The average monthly contributory income for the country for the period from August 1, 2023, to June 31, 2024, is BGN 1574.76.

The contributory income in the reporting month will determine the calculation of new retirement benefits amounts set for August 2024, as stipulated in Art. 70, Para. 3 of the Social Insurance Code, the NSSI said.

Earlier on September, the NSSI published a new actuarial report, which presented an assessment of the long-term financial situation of the state social insurance funds for the period from 2023 to 2070.
