site.btaSerdika Gallery to Host Exhibition "Portals to Renewal" by Mira Dimitrova

Painter Mira Dimitrova will present her exhibition Portals to Renewal at the Serdika Gallery in Sofia on January 14, the organizers said.

Dimitrova explains that, for her, the portal is primarily a symbol of a path, a bridge, and communication between two worlds, one external and one internal. She describes it as a necessity for transitioning between different spaces, symbolizing movement, hope for survival, and a sense of personal freedom.

"In my paintings, the idea of 'there' and 'here' and the multidimensionality of existence is present. Each painting contains a 'portrait' of light, because I believe that renewal happens, according to my feeling, only with light – not just a symbol, but a real presence," the artist added.

Dobromira "Mira" Dimitrova was born on September 30, 1979, in Shumen, Bulgaria. She completed her secondary education at the Sava Dobroplodni High School in Shumen, specializing in Fine Arts. Later, she pursued a degree in Stage Costume Design at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. She is a member of the Society of Shumen Artists under the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Shumen branch. Currently, the artist resides and works in Sofia.
