site.btaBulgaria Supports Moroccan Centre for Disabled Children
A new stand-alone training room for children with permanent disabilities, as well as attached bathroom facilities, have been officially opened at the at the Noor medical centre for the disabled in Casablanca, Morocco. The opening was attended by the Bulgarian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Plamen Tsolov, the Bulgarian Embassy in Rabat reported.
The construction works were financed directly with funds under the contract signed between the contractor of the project and the Bulgarian Embassy in Rabat and provided by the Bulgarian government under the Bulgarian Development Aid programme. The premises are equipped with all the necessary accessories for the needs of education of children with disabilities, and are mainly intended for groups of children suffering from Down syndrome with different degrees of affliction.
Among the guests at the event were representatives of the Greater Casablanca Municipality, as well as businessmen sponsoring the activities of Noor Hospital Centre.
A discussion with the management of the centre took place during the opening ceremony, which was also attended by the Bulgarian Ambassador.
There was an additional meeting with mothers of children with disabilities using the services of the hospital centre to share their problems and suggestions with the hospital management.
The management of the Noor medical centre expressed their gratitude once again to Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Government, as well as to the Embassy in Rabat for their contribution to the work on the implementation of the project.
