Construction in Bulgaria continued to grow in May 2024 with an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous month, according to data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) released on Wednesday.

The calendar-adjusted data shows a 4.5% increase in construction output compared to the same month in 2023.

On a month-on-month basis in May 2024, an increase of 2.6% was recorded in specialized construction activities, 0.6% in the output of building construction and 0.1% in the construction of structures.

On an annual basis in May 2024, an increase in output was recorded in specialized construction activities, by 10.7%, and in construction of structures, by 3.5%. There is no change in output from building construction.
