site.bta58-Plus Tonnes of Counterfeit Detergents Destroyed under Customs Control

From June 25 to 28, 2024, a total of 58,411 kg of counterfeit laundry powder, dish washing liquid and shampoo were destroyed under the control of Customs Burgas, the Customs Agency reported on Tuesday.  The cleaning agents were seized in 2023 and 2024 during customs inspections at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on trucks entering Bulgaria from Turkiye.

The counterfeit products were incinerated in the furnaces of the Devnya plant in compliance with the relevant EU regulation.

All the packages of the goods transported bear the logos of well-known trademarks, with inscriptions in Turkish. The trademark holders have been notified of the cases and have confirmed that the goods are counterfeit.
