The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) Friday said that by the end of January, 518,378 e-vignettes were sold for BGN 31.34 million. Most drivers prefer yearly vignettes: they bought 326,798 of them, as the cost per drive is BGN 0.24 for all of the country's infrastructure. Weekly vignettes were the second most purchased ones (131,390), followed by weekend vignettes (28,227), monthly (26,517) and quarterly ones (5,446).

The RIA recalled that the prices of vignettes for light vehicles, weighing 3.5 tonnes or less, have remained unchanged for the second consecutive year. The vignettes have been selling as follows: yearly BGN 87, quarterly BGN 48, monthly BGN 27, weekly BGN 13 and weekend BGN 9. 

The toll revenues in the year to date are BGN 45,308,089. Of these, BGN 3,896,590 are from route passes and BGN 41,411,499 from toll declarations. About BGN 2.2 million were raised through control activity resulting in compensatory charges and statements of administrative offences. This brings the total revenues from e-vignettes, tolls and control activities in January to over BGN 78 million.
