site.btaSofia Hosts 109th Meeting of European Travel Commission’s Board

Sofia hosts the 109th meeting of European Travel Commission’s (ETC) Board on Thursday, Deputy Tourism Minister Irena Georgieva told BTA.

Georgieva noted that the host country of each meeting takes the opportunity to promote itself as destination.
The meeting will include an analysis of the past summer season, a discussion on the impact of climate change on tourism, and a discussion on ETC's Code of Ethics.

September 28 is World Tourism Day. The official celebration will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The World Tourism Organization will highlight green investment in the sector during the event.

ETC is a non-profit organization based in Brussels, established in 1948. Its members are a total of 33 national tourism organizations from 32 countries in Europe.
