In a collaborative effort to promote Bulgaria's literary heritage, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) has entered into a media partnership agreement with the National Museum of Literature (NML). The deal was signed on Monday by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and NML Director Atanas Kapralov.

"We hope that together with the National Museum of Literature, we will select the most significant anniversaries of Bulgarian writers next year, which we will feature in one or more issues of LIK, as we have already done with Konstantin Pavlov, Aleko Konstantinov, and Atanas Dalchev," Valchev said. He was referring to LIK, BTA's cultural and literary magazine.

Valchev noted that the house museums of Bulgarian classic authors such as Ivan Vazov, Petko and Pencho Slaveykov, and Peyo Yavorov are within the scope of the NML. "The NML also holds an extremely valuable archive of over 420,000 documents. The photo collection alone contains more than 4,000 documents," Valchev added.

Kapralov expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, "Our institution was created to remember great Bulgarian writers and the pioneers of our literary heritage. We proudly preserve these valuable archives and continue to enrich them."

"Recently, our house museums have become gathering points for audiences from the capital and the countryside, bringing together Bulgarian literature lovers and notable modern authors. We strive to present this well, and I appreciate BTA for announcing some of these events ahead of time and recording them for posterity," Kapralov added.
