Computational Mathematics Professor Svetozar Margenov Receives 2024 Walter Scott Award in Information Technology

The International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management (IAITQM) has presented Svetozar Margenov, a corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), with the 2024 Walter Scott Award for his outstanding achievements and creativity in the advancement of information technology theory, algorithms, education, and applications, the BAS press service said on Monday.

Svetozar Margenov has also been elected a Fellow of the IAITQM.

The holder of the 2023 Walter Scott Award is Prof. Jack Dongarra, who was named a recipient of the ACM A.M. Turing Award in 2021 for pioneering contributions to numerical algorithms.
