site.btaTISP Floor Leader Yordanov Says State Is Out of Funds, Finance Ministry to Come Up with Measures

There Is Such a People (TISP) Floor Leader Toshko Yordanov told journalists in Parliament on Wednesday that there is no money in the State, and that the Ministry of Finance is currently conducting an analysis and will come up with proposals for measures within days.

On Tuesday, the  Joint Governance Council (JGC) between GERB-UDF, BSP-United Left, TISP and Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DRF met for the first time in the National Assembly. Then, Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova informed the JGC about the financial situation of the state and the urgent need for a regular budget.

"There is no money, that is the truth. The Ministry of Finance is currently making an accurate analysis and very soon, within days, it will come up with proposals for measures, we will discuss them in the Council and see which ones we can accept and which ones we cannot, and we will start acting," commented  Yordanov.
"There will certainly be measures, steps must be taken, because the truth is that there really is no money," he pointed out.

When asked whether taxes will be raised or loans taken,  Yordanov indicated that there is another option, restructuring expenses and reducing certain expenses, for example  capital expenses. TISP will be against increasing taxes, he added.
