site.btaEU Innovation Commissioner Zaharieva Chooses Bulgaria for First Official Visit to Meet New Government

European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva, is set to visit Sofia on Friday to meet with the Zhelyazkov cabinet, the European Commission said here on Thursday.

Zaharieva chose Bulgaria for her first official visit to an EU member state to congratulate the new Bulgarian government and express the European Commission's readiness to collaborate with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and his team for a stable and prosperous Bulgaria within a strong Europe.

Zaharieva and her delegation will meet with President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev, Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev, Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev.
