site.btaPM Glavchev Conveys Confidence to Ursula von der Leyen that Bulgarian EU Commissioner Will Contribute Greatly to European Commission's Work

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev spoke on the phone with European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen, the press service of the Council of Ministers said on Sunday.

Glavchev sent out his congratulations and wishes for success on the day the new European Commission (EC) officially took office and expressed confidence that the Bulgarian Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will make a significant contribution to the high-speed work of the EC. Ursula von der Leyen congratulated the caretaker cabinet for the decision to send Zaharieva's candidacy to Brussels, the government press service further said. 

In the course of the talks, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev thanked the EC president for her unwavering support for Bulgaria regarding Schengen. Glavchev assured that Bulgaria would in turn support the work of the EC.
