site.btaUS Citizen Wanted by Interpol Is Arrested in Blagoevgrad

A lawcourt Thursday granted a motion by the Blagoevgrad Regional Prosecution Office for remanding in custody a US citizen, A.H.-K., who has been wanted on an Interpol red notice for sexual exploitation of children and child pornography. The man was arrested by the 2nd police precinct in Blagoevgrad. No date is mentioned.

If found guilty, A.H.-K. faces a prison sentence of 20 years. The crimes he is wanted for are also punishable by the Bulgarian Criminal Code.

An extradition procedure is pending.
