Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will express Bulgarian support for Ukraine, two years after the relentless aggression of the Kremlin, the press service of the Council of Ministers said. The Prime Minister arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Monday morning to emphasize that his government stands firmly on the side of justice and will continue to defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Bulgaria is part of the efforts of the European Union, NATO and the international democratic community in support of Ukraine.

Bulgaria supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders,  Denkov recalled before his departure. This country also supports the Ukrainian formula for a just, comprehensive and lasting peace, based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law, as well as all efforts for a world peace summit with the widest possible international support, the Council of Ministers stated.

In Kyiv, the Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov, Ministers of Energy Rumen Radev, Minister of Environment and Water Julian Popov, Deputy Foreign Minister Tihomir Stoychev and Deputy Defence Minister Stanimir Georgiev, as well as the Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov.
