site.btaArchitect Markov on Venice Biennale Project: Pseudonature Should Speak, Yet Puzzle

We have to send messages to people without telling them absolutely everything, to remain somewhat misunderstood, so that all people can tell their own story in the way they think best, Architect Yasen Markov told BTA's Vanya Suharova on Wednesday. Architect Markov is the author of the Pseudonature project, which Bulgaria will present at Venice Architecture Biennale 2025.
In his words, pseudonature is a very complex composite. "It really has protest, forecast, and architecture. These three things condition each other, and at the Biennale we will see at the earliest what the development of pseudonature is," he noted.
His idea is to have snow falling in the courtyard of the Bulgarian pavilion in Venice in the middle of summer. There will be a snow cannon and solar panels that will be covered in the snow. They give energy to the cannon and it works with this energy. Then the cannon starts to overwhelm the panels and when it overwhelms them, they stop giving energy and the cannon stops working. A fireplace will be placed inside the pavilion, and solutions to the problem can be found around it. There will be a screen and a small keyboard showing what is coming if the cannon does not stop working. There will be a game that visitors can play. Inside the pavilion there will be a large, handmade carpet measuring 270/480 cm. It is the work of Rosie Eisor. It depicts three halas [mythological creatures from Bulgarian folklore who cause destruction] - a symbol of the three intelligences - natural, artificial, and collective.
