There is a chance to receive money within the second payment under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov told journalists here on Wednesday. He added that Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev has explained very clearly what the approach is, what the projects are, and what the possibilities are.

“The National Assembly is actively working, and I am convinced that a favourable decision will be reached on this issue that has been so delayed over the years,” the Prime Minister said.

Asked to comment on the suspended sale of Belene nuclear power plant equipment to Ukraine, he said that only the National Assembly could make the decision on the equipment. In his words, there are political talks on the issue. If a report is submitted by the Minister of Energy on whether to continue the mandate for the negotiations with the Ukrainian side or to seek another solution for the implementation of this equipment, this is in the competence of the National Assembly, Zhelyazkov added.
