Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis spoke by telephone with his Bulgarian counterpart Georg Georgiev on Wednesday, ANA-MPA reported.

According to a Greek Foreign Ministry statement, the two confirmed the strategic relations between Greece and Bulgaria. Their talks focused on bilateral cooperation, in particular water management and interaction within the European Union and the Schengen area.

They also discussed the European perspectives of the Western Balkans, the ministry noted.
