site.btaPM Zhelyazkov to Head Bulgarian Delegation at Funeral Ceremony of Pope Francis

The Council of Ministers approved the composition of the Bulgarian delegation to participate in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis, which will take place on April 26 in Rome, Italy, the press service of the cabinet said on Wednesday.

The Bulgarian delegation will be headed by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.

The delegation also includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov, Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov, Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Holy See Kostadin Kojabashev.

Pope Francis died on April 21 at the age of 88. A Vatican statement said the Pope died following a stroke that led to a coma and subsequent heart failure.
