President Rumen Radev will visit Munich on Thursday, to participate in a European Patent Office’s (EPO) event marking the 50th anniversary of the European Patent Convention, the head of State's Press Secretariat said on Wednesday. He will be an honorary guest at the forum at the invitation of EPO President António Campinos.

Radev is scheduled to address the forum and hold a meeting with Campinos. They will discuss the prospects for further deepening the partnership in intellectual property aimed at strengthening the connectivity between science, education, technology, and innovation in Bulgaria.

On October 5 and 6, at the invitation of Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Radev will take part in the 18th meeting of the Arraiolos Group of European Presidents in Porto, Portugal. The heads of State of 14 EU countries will discuss the challenges for the European Union and its further development.

Radev will be accompanied by his spouse, Desislava Radeva.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Arraiolos Group, which bears the name of a Portuguese town that hosted the first meeting in this format back in 2003. Radev also took part in the Arraiolos Group meeting in 2022.
