Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has appointed Angel Zaburtov Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, the Government Information Service said Friday. Zaburtov will take the place of Zhivko Petrov, who has been removed from office.

Zaburtov has many years of experience in the sector. He has been director general of the state-owned Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and deputy secretary general of Ports National Company. He has worked in the private sector as well.

Zaburtov holds a Master's degree in machine engineering from Technical University - Varna and in banking and economy from the University of Economics in Varna (on the Black Sea). He has completed specialized trainings and courses in the USA, France, Singapore, and Belgium, the press release reads.
