The weather in the mountains on Saturday is clear, calm and very cold, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross (MRS) reported to BTA.
Tourists should be well dressed and prepared with snowshoes, as there is a risk of frostbite.
The weather will be mostly sunny, with moderate to strong northerly wind on the highest peaks. Highs: -3C at 1,200m, -10C at 2,000m, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reported.
