A reshuffle is planned in the Board of Directors of the Prison Fund State Enterprise, Justice Minister Atanas Slavov during Question Time in Parliament on Friday. He added that restructuring of the enterprise is also planned in the following months. Slavov was answering an MP's question about public procurement for prisons.

The Prison Fund State Enterprise is responsible for improving conditions for inmates and ensuring labour opportunities for them.

Slavov pointed out that the Justice Ministry has asked the Public Financial Inspection Agency to inspect the Prison Fund and vowed to follow up on any recommendations that are made by the inspectors.

He said that his ministry has repeatedly alerted the Prison Fund management about the procurement procedures and has issued instructions, some of which have been complied with and others not.
