Bulgarian skier Konstantin Stoilov claimed victory in the giant slalom at the Romanian National Junior Championships in Poiana Brasov, an event in the calendar of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.
Stoilov triumphed with a total time of 1:43.02 minutes. He was the fastest skier in both runs, stopping the clock at 50.38 seconds in the first and 52.64 seconds in the second.
The Bulgarian finished one second ahead of Romanian national champion Alexandru Stefanescu, while another local competitor, Zsolt Paszka, took third place, 2.20 seconds behind.
Sixteen-year-old Bulgarian Asparuh Sokolov finished sixth, 3.91 seconds off the pace, while 18-year-old Bulgarian teammates Ivaylo Gospodinov and Mihail Varakadjiev did not complete the race.
