site.btaHaskovo Region to Put Anti-Flu Measures in Place Jan. 16-23

Anti-flu measures are being implemented in the southern Haskovo Region due to a high incidence of acute respiratory diseases, the Regional Health Inspectorate said. At 282 per 10,000 population, Haskovo Region has the highest incidence in Bulgaria.

There will be no flu break in schools for now as Tuesday's absence rate stood at 9.84%. The attendance rate will be monitored.

Preventive check-ups for children and pregnant women, vaccinations and re-vaccinations are being suspended. Visits to hospitals and social care facilities are being discontinued. Daily health screening will be in place at the entrance to childcare facilities.
