The latest of a series of meetings this season dedicated to the development of the Bulgarian startup business ecosystem and entrepreneurial spirit was hosted by the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York, the diplomatic office told the BG World service of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) on Thursday.

Dozens of Bulgarians from New York City and the surrounding area took the opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurial activities in their home country and possibilities to invest in innovative projects, internships and patronages.

Consul General Angel Angelov encouraged Bulgarians on both sides of the Atlantic to develop contacts between them, so that the nation can reach its large potential in innovation.

The event was organized by two NGOs named Endeavor and Future Unicorns Accelerator. Representatives of the two associations shared their observations about the development of the Bulgarian startup business ecosystem, drawing attention to its leading position in Southeastern Europe.

The two entities are at the forefront of supporting influential entrepreneurs in Bulgaria and contributing to the expanding and dynamic Bulgarian startup business ecosystem, the Consulate General said.
