Sofia, September 30 (BTA) - Her Royal Highness Princess Dana Firas of Jordan and Bulgarian Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova Monday opened an international forum aimed at developing cultural tourism. Princess Dana Firas is paying a visit to Bulgaria at Angelkova's invitation.

Her Royal Highness is a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and President of the Petra National Trust, the oldest national nongovernmental organization working in the area of Jordan's heritage preservation.

Bulgaria will benefit from Jordan's experience in involving adolescents in the protection of cultural and historical heritage through specialized training, Minister Angelkova said at a press conference after the forum. A memorandum of cooperation with the Petra National Trust will be signed, so that our country can benefit from Jordan's experience in this field.

Her Royal Highness Dana Firas said that in Jordan, this cultural heritage training includes children and young people aged 7 to 20, divided by age groups. One of the goals is to teach young people how to make a living from their heritage without destroying it, and the responsibility each person has for protecting it. DS/DT
