Bulgaria's women's team ranked 10th with 16 match points at the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest. The men's team scored 14 match points.

In Round 11 on Sunday, Antoaneta Stefanova, Nurgyul Salimova and Beloslava Krasteva won their matches against Italy and Viktoria Radeva drew her game.

The men's team lost to 8th seeded Team Germany by a margin of 1.5 to 2.5.

In the men's section, India clinched the gold medal with 21/22 match points, Uzbekistan took silver with 17, and the United States took bronze.

In the women's section, India took gold with 19 match points, Kazakhstan is second with 18 and the United States is third with 17.

A total of 188 men's and 170 women's teams participated in the Olympiad.
