site.btaBulgaria’s Farm Machinery Market Rebounds in Q1 After Two-Year Slump

For the first time in two years, Bulgaria’s agricultural machinery market is showing positive momentum, data from the Control and Technical Inspection unit at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food revealed on Thursday.
The figures come from the unit’s regular report on newly registered machines for Q1 2025.
In Q1 of 2025, 322 new machines were registered, which is 55 more than the previous year, representing a 20.6% increase.
For grain harvesters, this year began with 18 new machines registered between January and March. Last year, there were 11 during the same period, marking a 63.64% increase.
Regarding telescopic loaders, there is a decrease of 13 machines on an annual basis. Since the beginning of 2025, 72 new telescopic loaders have been registered, which is a 15.29% decline compared to the previous year.
For front loaders, the difference is negligible—78 new machines were registered, which is two fewer than in the Q1 of 2024, or a 2.5% decrease.
BTA notes that a year ago, only front loaders experienced growth, while all other monitored machines showed a decline.
