site.btaCC Co-chair Petkov: Attempt on Life of Former US President Trump Is Unacceptable

"Violence can never be a solution to political differences. The shooting of former President Donald Trump is an unacceptable act," Continue the Change Co-chair Kiril Petkov wrote on Facebook on Sunday following the attempt on the life of former US President Donald Trump. 

"I wish a speedy recovery to Mr Trump and call on all political forces to unite in condemning such acts of violence," Petkov said.

Other officials and political leaders in Bulgaria and around the world condemned the attack and wished Trump a speedy recovery.  

Former US president Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for the upcoming presidential election in the US, was shot in the right ear during a rally in Pennsylvania Saturday evening, Reuters reported, quoting a statement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI recently announced that the shooter had been identified.
