site.btaSeventh Edition of Italian Culture Week Opens in Balchik

The seventh edition of the Italian Culture Week at the Palace Cultural Centre in Balchik was opened on Sunday with an exhibition called Opera - Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The exhibition, which can be seen until July 30, included a collection of works and paintings by Italian masters aiming to include the operatic art of their country in the UNESCO list of world intangible cultural heritage. In the evening, the Morski Polah (Sea Breeze) choir from the Varna Filip Kutev Community Centre performed popular Italian songs, and the soloists of the Varna State Opera gave the traditional gala concert on the open stage of the Palace Cultural Centre.

Antonio Tarquinio, Italian Honorary Consulate in Varna, will be among the guests of the Week of Italian Culture, which is organized under the patronage of the Culture Ministry of Bulgaria.
