site.btaVazrazhdane: Regular Government Is Impossible in This Parliament
In a position published Monday, Vazrazhdane reiterated that it is impossible to form a regular government in the 50th National Assembly even in theory. "The only thing that remains to become known is what schedule the President and the party chosen by him for the third [cabinet-forming] mandate will prefer in order to have elections in late October, and not around the start of the school year," the position reads.
Earlier on Monday, President Rumen Radev handed the second exploratory mandate for the formation of a regular cabinet to Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), who returned it unfulfilled immediately. Under the Constitution, the head of State now has to hand the third cabinet-forming mandate to another parliamentary group of his choosing. If no government is formed under that mandate, snap parliamentary elections are to be held.
