In a statement on the X social network, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev condemned the attempt on the life of former US president Donald Trump. "Violence and hatred threaten the democratic process and are unacceptable," Radev added.
Bulgaria's head of State wished a speedy recovery to Trump, as well as to those injured in the incident. "I express my condolences to the people of the United States for the innocent victim", Radev's statement further read (one of the attendees at Trump’s rally was killed).
Former US president Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for the upcoming presidential election in the US, was shot in the right ear during a rally in Pennsylvania Saturday evening, Reuters reported, quoting a statement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
