There are seven active fires on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia, Crisis Management Centre Director Stojanche Angelov said.

The fire in the Serta mountain, which is still active and is heading towards the Bregalnica river, proves to be the most problematic, he added. North Macedonia’s two army and three police helicopters and a helicopter sent by Montenegro have been helping to fight the fire. The specialized aircraft the country has will be deployed to the municipality of Makedonski Brod, where aerial firefighting means are required.
