Unfair Commercial Practices Exceed 72% - Consumer Rights Association

Sofia, May 16 (BTA) - Experts from the National Consumer Protection Association (NCPA) have established over the past two weeks that unfair commercial practices on the market exceed 72 per cent, the NCPA said Tuesday.

A survey on renovation work in Sofia, shows that problems were reported in nine out of ten cases. A check of the menus at restaurants in the coastal cities of Varna and Bourgas shows that seven out of ten establishments fail to label the food's weight or volume.

Another check reveals that eight out of ten promotional brochures are misleading consumers. In 75 per cent of cases, the listed prices do not contain the price per unit.
