Sofia, March 9 (BTA) - On the eve of March 3, Bulgaria's Liberation Day, the Interior Ministry conducted a total of 174 specialized police operations on alcohol and drugs on the territory of 28 regional departments, the ministry's press centre said Saturday.

Traffic police checks revealed 83 incompetent drivers. A total of 46 orders suspending car registrations were issued to drivers without a license. Another 32 orders were issued to suspend car registrations.

A total of 88 ticket fines were issued to drivers under the influence of alcohol, and 16 cases of drivers under the influence of drugs were registered. LI/TH
