On-Site Pig Farm Inspections
Suspended as Measure against
African Swine Fever Outbreak

Sofia, July 30 (BTA) - The State Fund Agriculture (SFA) is suspending on-site pig farm inspections throughout the country by order of SFA Paying Agency Executive Director Vasil Grudev. This is part of the State's crisis response efforts against the spread of African Swine Fever (AFS), the SFA said on Tuesday.

When planning on-site inspections, the SFA will monitor the current epizootic situation daily through the official website of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA).

Information published by the BFSA will be observed prior to any on-site visits to applicants for SFA financial assistance, both regarding pig farm locations and in connection to any restrictions on movement of persons and vehicles due to AFS. IG/DT
