site.btaPresident Radev Appoints Kaloyan Metodiev Chief of Cabinet

August 19 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev Monday decreed
the appointment of Kaloyan Metodiev as Chief of Cabinet to the
President, the head of State's press secretariat said.

Metodiev was born in Sofia on April 24, 1976. In 2001, he
obtained a Master's degree in political science from the St
Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, where he also specialized
in foreign policy and national security. He is a doctor of
political science with scientific publications in English,
Serbian, Croatian, and Albanian.
    
From 2010 to 2019, Metodiev was a part-time lecturer at the
University of Sofia. From 2012 to 2017, he worked as an
assistant at the Neofit Rilski South-West University. From 2015
to 2019, he was a political expert and chief analyst at the
Institute for Strategies and Analyses.

Metodiev is a member of the Strategic Council with the
President. He uses English, Russian, Serbian, and Croatian. He
is married with two kids.
