Parliament Holds Debates on No-confidence Motion against Government

Sofia, February 17 (BTA) - Parliament is debating Wednesday a no-confidence motion against the Government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov over its healthcare policy. The motion was submitted by a total of 69 MPs from BSP-Left Bulgaria, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and two independent MPs. Cabinet ministers are present in the parliamentary chamber.

The motion will be put to the vote at least 24 hours after the end of the discussions.

The majority turned down a proposal by Filip Popov, MP of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), for direct broadcast of the debates over the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Radio.

Independent MP Velizar Enchev insisted on the presence of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in the hall, to which National Assembly Chairperson Tsetska Tsacheva replied that Borissov will be invited. M O R E
