High Austrian Award Conferred on Caretaker Foreign Minister Naidenov

Sofia/Vienna, April 13 (BTA) - Caretaker Foreign Minister Radi Naidenov was conferred the Silver Crest with star award for his contribution in the bilateral cooperation with Lower Austria, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. The award was handed out by Lower Austria Governor Erwin Proell at a ceremony in Sankt Poelten on Wednesday .

Proell noted Naidenov's personal contribution for the excellent contacts between Lower Austria and Bulgaria during the latter's term as a Bulgarian Ambassador in Austria in 2005-2012.

Naidenov for his part stressed the importance and work of Proell in strengthening the political, economic and cultural ties, as well as creating a common vision for the development of the Danube Strategy as a bridge connecting Bulgaria and Austria.

The two officials also expressed satisfaction with the active contacts and constructive political dialogue between Bulgaria and Austria, and Lower Austria in particular.
