site.btaNew Entry Requirement for Bulgarians Travelling to Israel Starting January 1, 2025
Starting January 1, 2025, Bulgarian nationals travelling to Israel are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) prior to their trip, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry said on its website.
The ETA-IL is mandatory for all travellers from visa-exempt countries, including Bulgaria. Applications can be submitted online at https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il. The authorization is valid for two years and allows multiple entries for stays of up to 90 days per visit.
For technical assistance, applicants may contact the support center at eta@piba.gov.il.
Holders of diplomatic, service, or seaman’s passports travelling on official business and members of aircraft crews are exempt from the ETA-IL requirement. People with a visa for residency in Israel also do not need an ETA-IL authorization.
Travellers without a valid ETA-IL may be denied entry to Israel.
