Karatist Ivet Goranova to Fight for
Bronze in Kumite 55 kg Semifinal


Tokyo, August 5 (BTA special correspondent Dimiter Velyov) - Bulgarian karatist Ivet Goranova will fight for the bronze on Thursday after winning all her matches in Pool A of the kumite 55 kg elimination round earlier in the day.

She began her participation in the Tokyo Olympics with a victory over Taiwan's Tzuyun Wen by 5-2 points. Later, the 21-year-old Bulgarian (a first-time Olympian) won against Turkey's Serap Ozcelik Arapoglu by 5-1 points and against Iran's Sara Bahmanyar by 5-2 points.
