Registrations of new farm tractors, combine harvesters and telehandlers continued to decline in the second quarter of this year, while the sale of front loaders continued its positive trend, indicated the latest data from the traditional report of control and technical inspection to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, for new registered machines in this country.

2023 put an end to the positive trend of the agricultural machinery market in Bulgaria, which had lasted for the previous two years.

According to the data for the period from January to June this year, the new wheeled tractors registered in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year were 495. This corresponds to an annual decrease of 25.34% or 168 units less than in the same period of 2023.

In the case of grain harvesters, the difference with January-June 2023 is as many as 55 units less, or 64 new registered machines since the beginning of this year. This is 46.22% down from the same period last year, when there were 119 registered combine harvesters.

For telehandlers, this year's numbers also showed a decline, with 151 new machines registered, or 17.93% less than the same months of 2023, when there were 184.
Only front loaders have a positive trend with 171 newly registered machines since the beginning of the year, which is an increase of 37.9%  on an annual basis.

A downward tendency in the agricultural machinery market in the first half of 2024 is observed not only in this country, but also in other key markets in Europe.
