site.btaBulgarian President, Greek Prime Minister Discuss Speeding Up Joint Strategic Projects
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday discussed ways to speed up work on joint strategic projects, said Radev's press secretariat. The two met on the sidelines of the Climate Change Conference COP28 in Dubai.
The sides underscored the importance of the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Greece for the region and of the joint projects in energy, transport connectivity and environment. The Greek Prime Minister said that in early 2024 the Alexandroupolis LNG terminal will be completed, in which Bulgaria holds a 20% share. For his part, President Radev reaffirmed Bulgaria's interest in participating in the management of the ports of Kavala and Alexandroupolis.
The two discussed the effects on stability of the region of the Ukraine war.
