The 77th International Technical Fair is opening in Plovdiv on Thursday. It is showcasing 200 companies from 14 countries until September 17. The opening will be attended by representatives of state and local government, diplomats, exhibitors, partner organizations and industry associations.

The event features specialized exhibitions dedicated to modern ecological construction, mechanical engineering, energy, heavy machinery, hybrid cars, aircraft construction, and digital technologies in production, the home and trade.

Dome and energy-saving houses are some of the exhibits. Bulgarian companies of the association for construction using natural materials offer attractive and affordable models which blend tradition and technology in a healthy environment. The safety of buildings and sites in climate crises is the focus of the construction business. A leading Polish manufacturer presents effective lightning protection systems. A Turkish company presents interior doors and furnishings.

The exhibition offers innovative approaches to energy sources, heating and cooling systems. Turkish companies offer solar installations and alternative energy modules. Bulgarian companies exhibit efficient solutions for photovoltaic plants.

Czech companies exhibit improved models of electric buses and offer a wide range of equipment and spare parts. A road and rail truck made by a German railway construction giant is on display for the first time at the Plovdiv Fair.

The Bulgarian representative of Chinese leaders in mechanical engineering is exhibiting a selection from their broad portfolio of construction, lifting and clearing equipment. Japan's largest heavy equipment company premieres its latest model of a wheel front loader. The Romanian exhibitors span the metalworking, construction and automotive sectors.

Innovations in metalworking and precision engineering are demonstrated by a Bulgarian company with international recognition. The Space Research and Technology Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences once again proves that Bulgaria is competitive in the aerospace industry with drones equipped with the advanced capabilities of artificial intelligence and designed for various civilian purposes. An innovative Bulgarian company shows smart mailboxes which inform the recipient about the parcel delivered.

The European Commission has chosen the Plovdiv International Fair as the first stop of its travelling exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Single Market. It will be open to visitors on September 14 and 15.

An international conference on deep tech innovation in the EU is taking place on Thursday. The organizers are the Deep Tech Innovation Valley - Plovdiv and Plovdiv Tech Park.

The gold medals of the 77th edition of the International Technical Fair will be presented on September 15.
