The ancient city of Heraclea Sintica will be a starting point from which a zero-emission tourist train will depart, Katya Stoyanova - manager of the project for restoration, conservation and socialization of Heraclea Sintica told BTA.

The project of the Municipality of Petrich is implemented under the INTERREG VI-A-IPA Programme Bulgaria - North Macedonia 2021-2027. The project envisages the development of a joint low-carbon tourist product, including a cycling route in the form of an infinity sign, which will connect the towns of Petrich, Strumica, Berovo, Strumyani passing through the new border crossing of Klepalo.
