site.btaSofia Philharmonic to Perform Famous Bulgarian Music Pieces in Sofia, Bucharest for National Day

In Sofia's Bulgaria Hall on March 2, the National Orchestra and Maestro Nayden Todorov will present Marin Goleminov's Nestinarski Tants [Fire Dance], Pantcho Wladigeroff's Piano Concerto No.3 with soloist Georgi Cherkin, and Veselin Stoyanov's Symphony No.1. The same programme will be performed on Bulgaria's National Day, March 3, at the Romanian Athenaeum concert hall in Bucharest, the Sofia Philharmonic said on Thursday.

The concert in Romania is at the invitation of Bulgarian Ambassador Radko Vlaykov following the Sofia Philharmonic's successful performance at the Atheneum in March 2024.

The programme combines three of Bulgaria's greatest composers and presents Bulgarian uniqueness, historical ties and European belonging, the press release reads.
