A visual installation inspired by natural landscapes is at the heart of Rhythm & Colour, an exhibition by artist Vasko Slavkov at the Depoo Gallery, the organisers announced on Wednesday. The exhibition will run from February 21 to March 15.

"How can a landscape be transformed into rhythm, and rhythm reshape space? In Rhythm & Colour, the artist uses reality as a foundation to redefine the gallery environment," art critic Vesela Nozharova said. The project builds on Slavkov’s 2023 exhibition Rhythm & Space at Arosita Gallery.

The organisers noted that the exhibition also marks five years since Depoo Gallery established itself as a dynamic space for contemporary and experimental art.

Slavkov graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1994, specialising in mural painting. Over his career, he has held 25 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows in Bulgaria and abroad. His work spans site-specific art, painting, drawing, photography, and video. Since 2020, he has been a co-founder and gallerist at the Depoo Gallery.
